Department Overview

The Department of Accounting at Tafila Technical University was established at the beginning of the 2005/2006 academic year and offers a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. The Department is committed to delivering a comprehensive academic program whose courses are designed in alignment with the requirements of the local and regional labor markets, and in accordance with internationally recognized accounting standards. The study plans are regularly and systematically updated to keep pace with the rapid scientific and professional developments in the field.

English is the primary language of instruction for most courses. The teaching process is delivered by a qualified academic staff with strong academic and professional backgrounds, comprising 11 PhD holders and 3 Master’s degree holders, with diverse expertise. This has contributed to the preparation and graduation of competent professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to compete and meet the demands of local, regional, and international labor markets.

Educational Objectives of the Accounting Program

  • To build a strong foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge in accounting, including financial reporting, managerial accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial statement preparation.

Basic Requirements: Principles of Economics, Principles of Management, Mathematics, Computer Skills, and Communication Skills.
