The Engineering and Projects Directorate was established in 2025, succeeding the former Engineering Directorate which was originally founded in 2005. The Directorate is responsible for a range of essential engineering and project management functions, which include:

1. Preparing all engineering designs, plans, and studies necessary to meet the needs of the University’s colleges, deanships, and administrative units, while coordinating with relevant authorities to allocate the required financial resources in the University’s budget for the implementation of construction projects.

2. Supervising the tendering process for University construction projects, monitoring their execution, and overseeing all stages of completion, including preliminary and final acceptance, in coordination with the relevant entities.

3. Executing all technical and engineering services required for the University’s facilities.

4. Providing necessary technical services and engineering consultations.

Since its establishment, the Engineering and Projects Directorate has successfully kept pace with the University’s growth. Through its various divisions, it has completed numerous designs and tender documents for multiple buildings, facilities, and projects within the University campus. The total area of projects designed and supervised by the Directorate has reached approximately 80,000 square meters.

The Directorate operates through an administrative office and three specialized divisions, staffed with qualified engineers, technicians, draftsmen, surveyors, and inspectors, each contributing their expertise to support the Directorate’s functions. These divisions are responsible for preparing designs, specifications, and tender documents for civil, architectural, electrical, and mechanical works across University projects, as well as supervising their implementation according to each division’s specialization. The divisions are:

3. IT Systems Division
