Overview
The College of Arts at Tafila Technical University was established following the Royal Decree for the establishment of the University in 2005. It became administratively independent from the College of Educational Sciences in September 2006. The College commenced its academic journey with three main departments: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, and Humanities and Social Sciences. Since its inception, the Departments of Arabic and English have been offering Bachelor’s degrees.
The College is supported by a distinguished body of academic and administrative staff whose expertise and professionalism contribute to enhancing the quality of التعليم and achieving academic excellence.
The College is committed to expanding its academic offerings through the development of graduate programs in literature and linguistics within both the Arabic and English departments, thereby strengthening its academic standing and aligning with contemporary academic developments. It also strives to provide a high-quality learning environment that adopts modern teaching and learning methodologies across the fields of Arabic, English, and the humanities and social sciences. Emphasis is placed on fostering research skills, promoting academic achievement, organizing scientific seminars and conferences, and enhancing the College’s role in serving and developing the local community.
Within its future strategic directions, the College seeks to strengthen its academic and research presence at both regional and international levels, contributing to elevating the reputation of the University and reinforcing its role as a leading institution in the field of humanities.
