The Supplies and Procurement Directorate is responsible for formulating the general policy governing the management of supplies and the mechanisms for implementing it. As such, it represents one of the fundamental pillars in shaping the University\u2019s overall strategic plan, given its close connection with the operational plans of most colleges and administrative units. The Directorate serves as the primary provider of a wide range of services and materials required by the University, striving to secure them with the best specifications and at the most competitive prices in a manner that effectively serves the institution.<\/p>\n

To achieve these objectives, the Directorate has been structured into a number of specialized and technically integrated divisions. Within the Supplies and Procurement Directorate, all staff members operate as a unified team. Since the procurement of materials and services requires considerable effort and time to ensure their proper availability, the Directorate\u2019s responsibilities are closely linked to the scope of authority granted to it. The delegation of appropriate authorities has significantly contributed to accelerating the provision of materials and services in an efficient and effective manner. In addition, the Directorate works within a comprehensive strategic framework aimed at securing the materials required by the University through the most appropriate methods and according to high technical standards, while ensuring their proper storage in ways that preserve their quality and extend their usability for the longest possible period. The Directorate is also committed to the full automation of its operations, and it has already made substantial progress in this field.<\/p>\n

The Directorate\u2019s vision centers on achieving efficient management that ensures the provision of goods and services with optimal specifications and the most appropriate prices, in accordance with the University\u2019s policies and the applicable legislative framework.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the Supplies and Procurement Directorate continually endeavors to meet the University\u2019s needs for goods and technical services with high quality and reasonable cost, thereby enabling the University\u2019s colleges and administrative units to effectively perform their duties and functions. This is accomplished through a qualified workforce possessing the necessary expertise and professional skills, while adopting the principle of strategic partnership aimed at strengthening relationships with all stakeholders and utilizing the most advanced technological methods available.<\/p>\n
