The President of Tafila Technical University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khair Al-Hourani, stressed the need to review our steps and paths in education to give our children less dictation and more learning and to provide them with tools to access the spaces of the future. He said that university professors are leaders of thought and learning and role models for students in search and exclusion to reach the truth. This came during the opening session of the Conference titled "MODERN STUDIES IN THE MIRACLES OF THE QUR'AN AND ITS STATEMENT" which was organized by the Department of Arabic Language / College of Arts. The conference witnessed the participation of a group of researchers from different Arab countries in addition to Jordan. The conference stated that the Quranic stories are rich of lessons, meditation, peace and self-affirmation.
According to the president of the conference, Dean of the college of Arts, Dr. Hussein Al-Zaidanien, the conference, which was held over three days, discussed a number of topics including the literature of dialogue, women's image in the holy Quran and character building. Cultural and literary extracurricular events were held on the sidelines of the conference.
The Chairman of the preparatory committee of the conference, Dr. Salamah Al-Ghareeb, declared that the Holy Quran is the miracle of Islam and the lighthouse of its statement and is the nourishment of life. This conference came in the subject of the stories of the holy Quran and how to make them heard and understood.
In his speech on the participants, Dr. Taha al-Qaisi from Iraq said that this scientific forum is a great opportunity to gather scientists and researchers across the Arab world to unite the goals in the sea of knowledge and science. He stressed the excellence of Jordanian universities in holding fruitful meetings and scientific conferences that are constructive in their subjects and outputs.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Jarrah, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahim Al Mahasna, President's Assistant for Legal Affairs Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al Mahasnah, representatives of official and popular activities, deans of colleges and department directors and a crowd of university students.
