The President of Tafila Technical University Prof. Dr. Mohammed Khair Al-Hourani, met with the freshmen students who were admitted for the second semester of the academic year 2017/2018 in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al Jarrah, the president's assistant for legal affairs Dr. Mohammed Abdul Wahab Al-Mahasneh and the Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Baraa Al Rawashdeh.
During the meeting, Al-Hourani pointed out that the future of Jordan is made in classrooms, so students must work hard, strive to acquire knowledge, and develop their abilities and competence in various fields and disciplines to build a society that is based on knowledge, experience and ethics as students are best ambassadors for the country and the university.
Al-Hourani further urged students to maintain their minds intact, free from the scourge of extremism and equipped with social values and religious constants to lead the society, build it with leadership and innovation and provide it with the weapon of science.
The Dean of Students' Affairs, Dr. Al-Baraa Rawashdeh, pointed out that the Deanship of Students' Affairs at the University organizes a number of extracurricular activities that would enhance students' personalities and develop their skills. He called on students to engage in these cultural, scientific and recreational activities and exploit of their free time.
At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the deans of colleges and the directors of departments, Dr. Al- Hourani answered questions about various issues that concern them.
