The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2006/2007 following the construction and housing revolution witnessed by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab region in general. This revolution was accompanied by a growing demand for qualified engineers by the local and Arab labor market. For this purpose, study plans and modern laboratories have been prepared. The department aims at providing graduates with the theoretical, practical, and professional information in all areas of civil engineering. It also equips civil engineers with knowledge and skills for work and research purposes. The department seeks to produce a generation of engineers who can assume the responsibility of designing buildings, roads, bridges, airports, ports, hospitals, plants, water and sanitation facilities, and water treatment plants. The graduates of the Civil Engineering Department will be qualified for the management of water resources and construction projects. They are competent enough for promising professional and academic jobs in the field of civil engineering.
